Funding Options

Funding Guide

We accept a range of government and private funding sources to make services accessible for every family.

Passport Program

For adults 18+ with a developmental disability. Provides funding for community participation and respite. Apply through Developmental Services Ontario (DSO).

Special Services at Home (SSAH)

For children under 18 with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Provides funding for respite and skill development.

Ontario Autism Program (OAP)

For children and youth on the autism spectrum. Provides funding for evidence-based clinical and behavioural services.

Private Pay

We accept private payment for families who wish to access services outside of government funding.

Insurance

Some extended health benefit plans cover behavioural support services. Contact your provider to confirm.

Frequently Asked Questions

What qualifications do your associates have?
Every Dasdey associate holds a post-secondary diploma or degree in a relevant discipline (such as CYW, DSW, BSW, or BA Psychology), has a minimum of 2 years of paid experience, holds current crisis intervention training, Standard First Aid and CPR Level C, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Screening renewed annually.
How quickly can services start?
In most cases, we can begin services within 1 to 2 weeks of your initial consultation. For urgent situations, we work to deploy support as quickly as our scheduling allows.
Can I choose my associate?
We carefully match associates to clients based on skills, experience, personality, and needs. While we make the initial recommendation, we always welcome your input and will work with you to ensure the match feels right.
What if my associate is not a good fit?
If at any point you feel the match is not working, let us know. We will work with you to find a better-suited associate at no additional cost or disruption to your service.
Do you provide overnight support?
Yes. We offer overnight support for families, group homes, and residential programs. Overnight associates are experienced with complex behavioural needs and crisis management.
What areas do you serve?
We serve the Greater Toronto Area including Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Scarborough, Toronto, Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Mississauga, Brampton, and Barrie, as well as York, Peel, Durham, Halton, and Simcoe regions.
How do I submit invoices for Passport/SSAH reimbursement?
We provide detailed invoices that meet all government requirements for Passport and SSAH reimbursement. Our team can guide you through the submission process to ensure timely reimbursement.
